Screenings included panel discussions with the performers, artistic team and restorative justice practitioners. The film has been screened at over 20 universities, museums and community organizations in the U.S., as well as internationally. Well Contested Sites has been a stimulus for conferences and panels addressing mass incarceration, racial disparities, and restorative justice. The piece was developed and filmed on Alcatraz Island in 2013.
